Worked well for a few wks stopped working after that ph but I was told to contact Westinghouse direct no luck there put me on to another no No luck there either after a run around got someone who knew what a warranty was sent me out q replacement finally.

Useful appliance when it's functional. My first unit failed after 3 months, my second failed after just 1 month. In both cases, the touch capacitative panel on the front malfunctioned - the second time in an extremely dangerous manner that led to my room flooding with boiling water. I believe these failures are due to a design flaw. The instruction manual states the appliance should not be operated in a steamy environment, but the touch panel is literally constantly exposed to hot steam and condensation due to being placed directly above the water outlet. If the panel isn't perfectly sealed, steam can probably get into the electronics and cause them to malfunction. I'm very disappointed that such an expensive, high-end looking appliance failed in this manner. I'm going to replace it with a cheap kettle from kmart!
